We visited two very ancient churches : St. Hilda in Ellerburn and St. Gregory's in Kirkdale. The CR Brothers exchanged gifts with their hosts and performed services prepared especially for each location. To hear the monks singing plainsong (cantus planus), in such intimate and historical surroundings was like being transported back in time.
Inspired by Fr. John's hat, I made a quick ink drawing of him.......I think he liked it. Hope so.
